:mrgreen:Thanks for the Birthday wishes Mia - it's been great so far and it's not over yet!

I'm not sure, but I think there's a law against beating someone in a quiz on their birthday!

Always worth taking a time out Mac - never underestimate the power of relaxation!

We're getting used to living on 2 levels - I haven't had stairs for 11 years! It's a great neighbourhood and it's just been taken to another level by our arrival!

Avatarity and Avatarist both have damn good pictures!

People say that Hannibal Lecter has the most spine-chilling voice voice in movie history, but for me HAL wins hand down!

  4. Sedge

Belated birthday wishes from me beef!:bestw:

I'm intrigued by the lock-picking kit! Sounds like an interesting career move - let us know how it goes!

Call me reckless Mac, but being the wacky guy I am, I've put the money in our current account! I tell you, the crazy things we do when we're young!:D

Kernow is bathed in sunshine as I type, so this morning we're off to the old man's to compare receding hairlines!

    How goes it with you?

  6. Sedge

Calm down Mac - it's not good for a man of your advanced years to get too excited!

I thought, if the women can ogle pictures of their pasty-faced vampire boys, then why can't we have something nice to look at!:D

  7. Fingers crossed for your knee Tiger.

There's been no real snow down here for about 3 years, but you never know! I'm enjoying a week's holiday at the moment - Mrs Sedge is being frighteningly efficient about the Christmas shopping!

  8. Sedge

Good Morrow Mac! I'm not getting on here as much as I like, but I'm still poking my head around the door occasionally!

I'm just quietly doing my thing and enjoying life - how's you?

Hi beef. I have a question and think you could be the right person to answer it. My local football club have asked me to build them a new website. Before I do this I'd like to delete the 3 previous sites (2 of which have been unused for about 3 years). As I'm a relative internet novice, could you tell me if it's possible to delete these sites? The creators have long since moved on and are uncontactable.

    Cheers beef!

  10. Hi Colin,

Welcome back - good to know you're still posting!

  11. Hi happyanddandy, thanks for popping in.

That's actually Stephen King in my avatar. He looks much less scary than I do!:D

  12. Hi Kylie, thanks for dropping in.

No that's not me in my avatar, it's actually Stephen King. Maybe one day I'll try a picture of myself, if I ever find one that's not too horrifying!

Hi Mac, good to hear about your new job. I've decided that after 17 years of dull clerical local government work, I really should be making moves to improve myself. I just feel I'm starting to stagnate, so have decided to work towards an English degree with the OU. I'm not sure exactly which degree I'll go for, but it just feels a relief to be doing something, before I seize up completely!

As for the house, you wouldn't believe how long it's taking for our Home Information Pack to come through. We were originally told two weeks - that was two months ago! I'm going to be spending the next few days harrassing the people responsible on the phone until we get results!

Thought - maybe I could become a solicitor. I can certainly move slowly enough!

Hi Mac, how's it with you?

I went to my cousin's wedding yesterday afternoon. Halfway through 'Lord Of The Dance' I started to feel decidedly ropey. Things got worse later when I could hardly breathe and ended up lying on the bathroom floor bathed in sweat! One possibility that occurred as I was on the floor was Swine Flu, but the worst seemed to pass after 10 minutes - strange! I've definitely picked up something though - I'm getting blood glucose readings of between 16-22!

I feel a day of relaxing on the settee, being waited on hand and foot by Mrs Sedge coming on - damn, it's a hard life!

    Hi Mac,

I haven't been on the forum much over the last few weeks - moving house just before Christmas certainly kept me busy!

The snow wasn't too bad here, but I managed to introduce myself to the new neighbours by stepping out of the front door, slipping on the ice and ending up flat on my back! Fortunately I'm still at an age where I can avoid injury!

How are things with you Mac?

  16. Hi Tiger,

I'm vaguely aware of Coverack - it's in a great area. Did you notice that the further west you go, the quieter it gets down here? I much prefer heading towards Lands End than going up to Plymouth!

  17. I'm fine thanks Tiger!

The Trap Door is an excellent tune to have in your head if you're having a bad day!:D

I'm quite happy with my lot. Haven't achieved a great deal compared to some, but I'm very happily married, I'm in an OK job and things seem to be chugging along quite nicely.

I'll be 35 in 3 months - I'll let you know if I start feeling the urge to buy an open-topped sports car and wearing my hair in a pony tail (which should be quite a challenge given that I can grow it to about a quarter of an inch if it isn't cut for 6 months!).

What tips can you give me about 35? Aren't I supposed to start wearing cowboy boots and take up line dancing?

  19. Thanks for the Birthday wishes Trish!

Are you a football fan? We had Mousehole up here last Saturday in a epic 4-4- draw!

:)Hi Echo! The Silmarillion is great! I grew up reading The Lord Of The Rings, so it's good to discover the background and history of Middle Earth.

  21. Berk - feed me! Why can't all television be that good?

  22. Sedge

Doing well old man - how goes it with you?

  23. Sedge

Don't worry Mac, you're secret's safe with me. Being a Supervillain myself, I can empathise.

  24. Eden's great at this time of year. It gets a bit interesting in the Tropical Biome during a really hot summer though!

  25. Fingers crossed for the football tomorrow Inver. We're continuing our defence of the Cup!
