Thanks Kylie! It's three weeks now since the op and I'm finally starting to feel a bit better. I have another week off work so I hope to get out and about a bit (if the snow ever stops). How are you doing?

Just wanted to say Congrats to Beth for passing her 11+! Very well done.

Believe me, the idea of gardening is probably better than the reality! It's quite hard work, even though my gardens (front and back) are mostly low-maintenance paving and I just have to plant up containers. Could you have a couple of containers on a balcony or something? Though I've probably put you off now by saying what hard work it is, lol! The wind really was strong, we both looked like we'd been pulled through a hedge backwards!!

It was a bit mad really, me and mum planting containers in a gale-force wind! By the time we got the plants in they were all leaning one way, lol! I got two octagonal planters and they have a mini conifer in the middle with pansies round the outside. I bought some cyclamen for the first time and put them in my blue tub, then planted some bulbs in the other tubs and some wallflowers. Do you like gardening? If not, sorry for rambling on about it!

Hi Paula! I haven't felt too bad today, thanks. Been able to get some gardening done - I planted up my containers with my autumn/winter/spring plants. How are you? I hope you are well and that your father in law is coming along okay.

I'm not too bad, thanks, Gyre. I'm getting quite a few pains around my gallbladder, and I'm following a low-fat diet (which is good for me anyway!). I'm seeing the doctor on Monday as I want to get on the waiting list for the operation as soon as possible and get it over with. I hope you and your family are all well.

I'm glad your father in law is improving.
