  1. negative reviews actually encourage me cos i think feck u lot lets see what I think of it-i'm the onbe whos choosing to read it,never be lead by reviews....well sometimes let them guide you but dont be lead by them-experimentation is what seperates us from the animals, well that and opposable thumbs lol
  2. i agree as i have said in my other forum don't think it was terrible-just not my sort of thing-surprised is all its so popular.make your own mind up i always say....
  3. i found this book very sad at end but highly enjoyable and unputdownable.loved the way towards the end there were hints that others were beginning to show symptoms of time displacement as well-reminded me a little of a book called retro lives by lee rimes but that was more to do with a form of alzheimers that occured every ten years or so in peoples lives and caused the males in the family to mentally switch back to periods of past even though were physically still in present. this meant that they couldn't understand who people were in their on family because they didn't believe they could be as old as they were when they still remembered them as being the same age.an old book but if you see it second hand would reccomend picking it up.read it several years back....anyway back to TTW-yeah this book was a literary classic i thought.very good stuff
  4. what is it about this book that people like this much-even if i had liked it still wasn't that great a read i thought-who knows......
  5. definetly one of the spookiest books i've read-very disturbing.didn't quite get the ending entirely-was the whole thing part of a curse cast by the old medium at the beginning?kind of left me a bit spooked which dont happen often-kind of lke a litery blair witch.cant reccomend this enuff
  6. sooo much better than da vinci-have just read deception point and found this equally as good
  7. some posters on readit, swapit defended this book when i criticised it-glad to see you guys r of same opinion as me-highly disapointing though potential was there.agree totally with all of you not impressive novel at all
  8. one of the best king adaptations to big screen too-christopher walken was excellant as johnny and martin sheen equally as the presidental candidate-funny could not watch sheen in west wing without picturing his character in the dead zone recently made into a american tv series featuring shy kid from breakfast club, anthony michael hall i believe his name is- as johnny-equally as good though missed some episodes on channel 5 so want to get it on dvd soon...
  9. think you were a bit harsh but this was only ok koontz not brill koontz
  10. the assassin books and liveships etc were my absolute faves probably the closest i've felt to set of characters scince i read lord of the rings when was 12.this author is the best fantasy writer i've ever read-no exception. bit gutted new series was set outside the six duchies but has potential to be just as good as original series with equally strong characterisation and bizare links to our own world...wheres that gonna go?
  11. find him very hit n miss though i do quite like his work-cry for the strangers and suffer the children my two faves
