  1. @dragonmyst, this sounds like such a great find in a secondhand bookstore! This is also talked about in that Polanski film "Rosemary's Baby". The whole concept of an entire metropolis going dark really tickles me! My goal this year is to read more nonfiction so may very well try to get my hands on this at some point!
  2. Hi all, I'm a big ebook reader and very much so involved in the world of self-publishing and all things ebooks. Once I got a good understanding of what exactly ebooks are and how to produce one (from guides like this one: www.1and1.com/digitalguide/online-marketing/online-sales/e-books-part-one-how-to-create-an-e-book/), I began to look for digital bookstores other than amazon - mostly for a different variety, and of course prices. Knowing the various formats of ebooks and what your device can take is also helpful. Here are some of the ones I use: Kobo, Smashwords, eHarlequin, eBooks.com, Barnes&Noble (Nook) and Lulu. Hope some of these help!
  3. Stephen Vizinczey - In Praise of Older Women Henry Miller - Tropic of Capricorn Anais Nin - Delta of Venus Enjoy the world of erotic novels!
  4. For me it completely depends on the content. Sometimes the shortest of paragraphs can be quite dense and impossible to get through, and sometimes the longest ones are far easier. It totally depends on the book. In saying that, I do find stream of consciousness without any paragraph breaks heavy going!
  5. oopphhh! This is pretty difficult indeed. My top few restaurants change pretty regularly but here it is for now: 1) Astragal - Albertine Sarrazin 2) Stoner - John Williams 3) Tropic of Capricorn - Henry Miller 4) Cooked - Michael Pollan 5) Hunger - Knut Hamsen 6) Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakhami 7) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams 8) The Sound and the Fury - William Faulkner 9) Mother Tongue - Emine Sevgi Ozdamar 10) A Sense of Direction - Gideon Lewis Kraus
  6. Hi All! I'm very new to the forum! I'm currently reading Nicotene by Gregor Hans, with a wonderful preface by Will Self. So far it's pretty brilliant.
