  1. All this book are on my to-read list too! I guess that we have similar tastes I would go for North and South, I have read wonderful comments on this book. Philippa Gregory is also one of my favourites, I read The Kingmaker's Daughter some months ago and I loved it, even more the more famous The Other Boleyn Girl. I definitely want to read all the books both of the Tudor and the Cousin's war series.
  2. I think that a realistic average for me could be 300 pages. I do not find more difficult reading a long book. I have read books of 1000 pages and still I was not bored by them and I would have liked to have 1000 pages more to read. On the other hand I cannot reach the end of books of 200 pages if I do not like them. I think that the more I like a book the longer I would like it to be, because I do not tend to get bored by stories that really catch me and flow on well.
  3. For me it is the opposite! I really enjoyed the series with Precious Ramotswe, while I was completely disappointed by the first book with Isabel Dalhousie. Soon or later I will give them a second chance ;-)
  4. Hi everybody! I just want to leave a short message to make my introduction. I'm thirty years old and I love reading (not a surprise!), as well as swimming. I am totally in love with Jane Austen, but I also like Dickens, Thackeray and Trollope. I definitely have a weakness for English classics! I'm also a passionate reader of chick-lit books...especially during the summer! The last book I read was The Burgess Boys by Elizabeth Strout, and I am currently reading Love in a Cold Climate by Nancy Mitford (so funny and entertaining!). That's all, see you soon around here!
