As most of us who are discussing it here have seen the film, and it's pretty much out of cinema's now, I'm not going to worry about spoilers.

I did manage to see it again last week, and I have to say, I enjoyed it more the second time. I still hated the score, particularly in the first half, and I didn't like the wedding speeches, which seemed an unnecessary addition and actually I thought they were unbelievable. I also didn't like how they changed Bella's nightmare - why change it? That didn't make sense to me, but again, maybe it's just me being picky.

On the good side, I did love the effects used to make Bella thinner and greyer, and again in the transformation at the end with her strength returning, her hair regaining its colour and the fleshing out of her body again. And, I loved how it ends, which left me wanted to watch the final film now!

Yet again, people left the cinema before the extra scene halfway through the credits - I wanted to shout at them to stay, but I'm just too shy

Don't hate me, Chesil, but I loved the wedding speeches! I thought they were funny and a nice way to lighten the mood, you know? Well at least Bella's since she was so incredibly nervous. Although I will say that Jessica's speech I could've done without - she seemed especially annoying to me.

I loved the effects as well and thought they did an excellent job of making Bella look as if she was being drained of all life from the inside. I don't know how they did it but she looked awful!

The only part my friend and I laughed at and wished they would've left out is the telepathic conversation the wolves had amongst themselves. For some reason we thought it just came off cheesy I don't know, just not good. I realize though that that sort of thing would be hard to translate from book to a visual thing up on screen.

I liked how her body transformed at the end as well (oooh her eyes!) and can't wait to see part II! The part at the end of the credits was great. Seeing the Volturi is always exciting and that one guy (not JCB or Sheen) makes me laugh :D.

I think I'd blanked out the telepathic wolf scene when I wrote my earlier post! It is SO awful, I keep hoping I imagined it! I think it sounds like I'm being very critical - don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it, and I'll be happy to watch it again (can't wait for the full five film marathon viewing one weekend!) and I suspect I'll like it more when I can watch it alongside the second part which is the better half of the book.

I totally agree about the telepathic wolves. I found it cheesey too and cringe worthy but you are right it's hard to show that on screen.

I had a problem with the wolves acting in this film. I didn't think they were up to scratch.

I enjoyed it too but for me it didn't have the same wow factor as the others :blush2: they could have made it longer I think it was only on for 1hr and 30 mins and they could have added things and dragged certain things out I.e when Jacob thinks Bella is dead. He goes to the house a minute later and discovers she's alive.

I too feel that they did an amazing job on Bella you are right.

I loved the speeches at the wedding too and found them funny. I liked the humour that was in it before Bella got pregnant then it all changed.

It sounds like I didn't like it but I did but I was expecting more. Would watch it again though  can't wait for the second part I think some of the orginal magic that I loved in all the others will be back and the humour that was lost (although some was there it wasn't long) due to the seriousness of what was happening and Bella getting pregnant early on. Roll on November 2012!!!! :o

I have still not seen this film as I was a little disappointed by the trailer! I hope it's better than it looks as I loved reading the series.

Some of you have mentioned something happening after the credits roll, a friend of mine left before the credits ended and was wondering what happened, could somebody tell me so I can enlighten her please? PM me if you don't want to spoil it for others.

Hey Chaliepud. It was just a quick scene of the heads of the Volturi finding out about Edward, Bella and all the "events" that had taken place in the film. They basically said they weren't going to let all of it go unnoticed. :)
