Hi everyone, I'm new here. I work in a library and we are often asked obscure things but this one has defeated us! Children's book, probably about 10 years old, set in the North of England about a boy who learns about pigeon racing from an elderly man. This is all the info I have. Anyone???

I was just thinking about this the other day! We read that when I was at school but I couldn't remember the name either I'm sure at one point the lad was running away from a bad guy over the swing bridge. Aww you've just made my day Kell, my friends couldn't remember the name
