Sea Fever is a factual book containing everything you need to know about the sea. It contains poems and quotes from other books, recipes, how to fish and where to buy bait, navigation, weather, flags, the shipping forecast and what to do about sea-sickness amongst many other absolutely fascinating facts.  I'm not sure that I got a hold of how tides work and I definitely didn't get a hold of the navigation instructions but it was lots of fun trying. It's also illustrated with charming drawings and is written with a certain sense of humour.

I read this on Kindle for the BCF reading challenge part three, theme being the sea. And I'm very glad I did because I would not have come across this if it wasn't for the challenge.
