lunababymoonchild Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Subtitle : Seven Hundred Years of Humanist Freethinking, Enquiry and Hope Sarah Bakewell is a favourite author of mine and I always find her books illuminating. This one is the history of Humanism, and an attempt at defining it (which is surprisingly difficult). As always her research is thorough and her prose is interesting, the subject matter being fascinating. There is a lot of factual information in this but it's very well written and easy to read Highly recommended. Quote
