The best suspenseful book

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! After a long break, I want to go back to reading crime books. So far I have mainly read books by Tess Gerritsen, Stieg Larsson and Agatha Christie.
I am now looking for new books that will keep you in suspense to the last page. It's best if they relate to real crimes. Do you have any interesting suggestions for me?

Hello Agnieszka.

Not real crime related, but certainly suspenseful, I would recommend Sebastian Fitzek. I have read a few of his novels now, and they are gripping from start to end. I have read 'Therapy', 'Splinter', and 'The Eye Collector'.

The only real crime books I have read are In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, and Homicide by David Simon. I would not say either was suspenseful, although they are great books, particularly Homicide. I found The Talented Mr Ripley very suspenseful. You get a strange feeling reading that book.
