This is a suitably complicated romp around Victorian Edinburgh and beyond, taking in multiple locations and confusing plot turns, peopled by witches, bad/good politians, Frey and McGray, McGray's sister etc. No less than Queen Victoria wants them dead and their mission might just accomplish that for her. Madeleine Posted October 26, 2021 Share Posted October 26, 2021 Well it's probably not that original, but I suspect that Spoiler his sister is innocent, although she probably did maim his hand, maybe in her sheer terror she didn't realise it was him, and she's traumatised as she witnessed their parents' murder?
