Maureen Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 On the back of the book it says that it was the "Winner of the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger for the best thriller of 2004". I enjoyed this book - it is everything a thriller should be - fast paced -main character a good hero(if a bit too good to be true!) - full of suspense - with more than a couple of twists in the plot to make it more interesting. It is based in Nazi Germany, during the Olympics, and I ended up thinking about the Germans whose lives were made pure hell because of their fellow countrymen, whereas I usually think of the Jews/Polish/others. The book's secondary characters are also given a lot of life through the author's descriptions and their actions - I ended up rooting for quite a lot of people................ Quote

Inanna Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 LOL I've wanted to read his books ever since I watched The Bone Collector Quote
Maureen Posted February 5, 2006 Author Posted February 5, 2006 Me too, Have read a lot of his books. I like the ones with Lincoln Rhyme best though (I thought Denzel Washington did a great job in Bone Collector - I always picture him when I am reading a L Rhyme book). Quote
