I liked the first film's soundtrack, but I LOVE the NM one . I'm still listening to all or parts of it every day and I can't seem to get tired of it. Noll, or anyone else who's bought it, have you heard this Lupe Fiasco song? I forget the title, but I came across the vid on YouTube and it said that it was from the movie and I thought, 'what?' I've never heard this tune! I'm thinking it was a bonus track if you bought the album on iTunes or something. I bought the actual CD and it's not on there.

Have you read more of this, Weave? There's so much pretty in it! Plus the stuff from Weitz is so cool to read . Along with everyone else, of course, LOL.
-
Finished watching Big Bang Theory and have been watching Sons of Anarchy season one off and on today. Charlie Hannum sure is yummy!
-
Sounds excellent! I'm afraid the only version I've seen is the Kenneth Branagh film, but I've read it many times.
-
Which version, Nightingale? I've got public television's cooking shows on in the background .

Nice, Kell! That'll look so great hanging up. As a person who's never cross-stitched, do those grid marks of yours wash off or do they eventually get covered up? Sorry if that's a silly question .

I'll wait and tell you what I didn't like about the film until you finish the book, CaliLily . I agree about King though. If you like this one, definitely think about reading all his old goodies he wrote in the 70's/80's, you won't be disappointed I promise! I'm going to post my review for Lost Symbol today, I promise! I was being so lazy yesterday it's not even funny. I'm trying to decide today what to read next...

I think I did the same thing when I watched it for the first time, Dimitra! I loved Mark Ruffalo's character, Stan. He didn't have a huge part, but he was hilarious as the tech who was in charge of Late last night I started watching season 1 of Big Bang Theory, my fave show. I think I got through two discs, so just one left to go. One of these days I need to invest in season 2, and hopefully before the 3rd season comes out!

It's okay, CaliLily, I'll still talk to you! I'm kidding . It is one of my fave books though, so I hope you like it. I've read it more times than I can count, and I'm just a little bitter about the film so don't mind me .
-
*sigh* CaliLily, have you been talking to Rawr?! The movie can never hold a candle to the book, but that's just me . The best book King ever wrote, imo.

I watched White Christmas and Holiday Inn this afternoon, now I'm watching The Holiday.
-
Watching The Holiday right now .

Awww that's so cute, Kell, I love it! Do you think you'll frame it or put it on a pillow? That bookmark is lovely too, Kate!

I'm working on my review as we speak, Catwoman! Putting thoughts to screen is usually a wee bit slow for me, plus I think I made my coffee too strong this morning as I'm have some concentration issues . I love Ghost Hunters too! Jason and Grant are my fave hunters, and the other guys in the gang are hilarious. I so much enjoy this show over others here in the US like 'Paranormal State' and 'Ghost Adventures.' The guys from GH concentrate a lot on de-bunking stuff, which makes them more credible to me. I can't wait to read this newest book though. I read their first book and it's basically just tons of cases that never made it on the TV show but where such freaky stuff happened!

Ahh that film is in my top 10 most fave, Dimitra! I'm glad you liked . Had you seen it before? No matter how many times I watch it I always see something I hadn't noticed before - there are so many layers!

Seinfeld starts in a few minutes, then I might pop in more Sons of Anarchy or watch the re-run of Bones.

Favourite books from childhood?

Maybe you're thinking of the 'Choose Your Own Adventure' books, Mexicola? They were all like that and I loved reading them! It would ask you at the end of the chapter something like 'if you want to see what happens behind the yellow door, go to page 56.' Good times! -
I've never had mince, but there's a middle-eastern form of raw meat I grew up having a few times a year called 'kibbi' and it was delish! A little bit goes a long way, but as long as you get the meat from a good butcher it's really tasty. Tonight it's leftover chicken soup for moi .

I loved the first Darko movie but never bothered with the sequel. I don't go for gory movies, not really because I get scared but because I get grossed out very easily . I do get creeped out however from movies like The Ring, Amityville Horror and The Others. I watched the first disc of Sons of Anarchy season one last night, then I popped in a couple of my fave West Wing episodes, Christmas themed of course .

Made a big pot of chicken and vegie soup tonight and it hit the spot! Lots of leftovers too for being stuck at home all weekend .

Just how long have you been reading Generation Dead, BJ? *Sigh* Now I've added Dracula and Dracula: The Undead to my wishlist. So many books! Pssttt I'm a big Gary Oldman fan too, Charm . Good news, I've finished The Lost Symbol, woo! I'll try to collect my thoughts and post a wee review in my thread tomorrow. Also, my friend's mom gave me an early Christmas present last weekend of 'Beyond the Bungalow,' a great big coffee table book on the architectural style of the Bungalow, which is one of my favorites. It has really beautiful homes in it and I'm looking forward to getting a closer look. She also lent me a new book from the guys on the TV show Ghost Hunters called 'Seeking Spirits: The Lost Cases of the Atlantic Paranormal Society.' We both love the TV show and whenever she's in town we always catch up on the creepy things the guys encounter . Noll, dare I ask how you're finding The Last Dickens?

I'm about to pop in the first disc from the first season of 'Sons of Anarchy' woo! Charlie Hannum is dreamy .

Five out of the seven in my fam all have bdays in the first 2 months of the year, with most of us being within days of each other, but we never really combined celebrations for some reason. My folks were big on bdays so I think they tried to make each one unique from each other. We did however combine parties one year for graduation. One sib was graduating college, another sib high school and me from elementary school . Funny how it worked out.
