  1. Hello! I can see that you love basically the same books as me and I love Maximum Ride how are you finding them? ;)

  2. Like I said before, I have some dreams about books I've read. I'm reading the Maximum Ride series now and I had the coolest dream about it. was at my old 'school' trying to get away from a whole bunch of 'Erasers'. I eventually got away, but when I tried to fly I couldn't! The rest of the dream I was just trying to learn how to fly.
  3. I voted for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I liked that book a whole lot. I still like the LWW, but it just isn't as good as The Dawn Treader. I really don't know exactly why I like it more, I just do. On another note, I read them in chronological order, but I think that reading them in published order would be better. I'm a Star Wars geek and I love their series, especially how they saved the mystery of how Darth Vader became, and I think that the Narnia series did something a lot like that.
  4. I would love to be Percy Jackson. to have all the powers of a demigod at my hands would be amazing. the monsters would get annoying, but i would just use riptide to defeat them all.... and maybe to impress Annabeth too.
  5. I do agree with you, misswhitlock, that they played Dustfinger very well and Farid was just terrible. I didn't like Capricorn's village that much though. Another thing that I didn't like that much was how they skipped so much. First off they got the beginning all wrong. Second off (correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while since I saw the movie) they skipped out on Twinkerbell. Third off would definitely be how, (I don't know if that is really much of a spoiler, but I decided to be careful about it anyway:blush:) That kinda ruins the next two books.
  6. I've thought about getting this series, but I'm still not sure if I will. do you think you could shed some light on what it's about for me? I want to make sure I will like it before I buy it.
  7. Actually I have very high standards of movies that are based off of books and I thought that The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was very accurate. I thought they did a very good job of making it. on the other hand, Prince Caspian was off a whole lot. I thought that it would also be similar to the book since the first movie was, but I was wrong. hollywood is so messed up.
  8. thanks for telling me. I will try to be more careful about following the rules

  9. don't waste your time on watching the movie. after reading the entire series the movie came out and I thought it would be a good movie. WRONG! the movie was little to nothing alike to the book. it was very disappointing. I was expecting a lot more out of the movie after reading those books and it was a total letdown
  10. I just started reading The Angel Experiment tonight and the way all of you talk about it sounds amazing. I already thought it would be good but now im going to have to read it quickly to get into the action. I will repost once I'm done with the book to add to the discussion some more
  11. Yes,yes, yes! Read this series, it is absolutely amazing. I finished the last book of the series a couple of days ago and I still havent quit thinking about it! It is by far my favorite series I've ever read. Read these books or you will regret it.
  12. i have a scrap of paper that i use in all of my books and my brother uses a dollar bill as his bookmark
  13. Please see the guidelines regarding capital letters and text speak. I've corrected a few of your posts so that book titles and authors' names are capitalised and changed text speak such as "u", "r" and "ur" to the proper full words in accordance with the rules of the forum. Thank you.

  14. I'm right there with u. i scan the shelves to c which one pops out to me, but one thing i cant stand is reading the end of the book. i dont know how people live with it! reading the end ruins most of, if not all, of the book! honestly i think the sin is more in reading the end of the book first, rather than judging a book by its cover The synopsis is another major thing i look at. if the synopsis doesnt seem interesting to me, 90% of the time i wont bother taking a second glance at the book
  15. I totally agree. the whole reason to having a party is to have fun (and possibly get wasted) and i dont c anything at a party that's more fun than reading a good book. books dont rule everything in my life though. i like to have a balance of book reading and social life. unfortunately not many of my close friends read many books so i cant talk about books and socialize much. well ccept for here of course:mrgreen:
