I adore this series! I love Katniss' intense character and the action and adventure that seems to follow her is utterly impossible to find interesting and amazing! A brilliant read!

I looked if there was another thread like this and I couldn't find one so I'm sorry if there is! I wondered if anyone had read the book by the recently passed Stephen Gately... A charming and heartwarming novel written by Boyzone's Stephen Gately shortly before he died. Stephen Gately brought joy to many millions of fans throughout the world. In the months before his tragic death, he wrote this, his first novel, The Tree of Seasons. When Josh, Michael and Beth Lotts catch sight of some mysterious lights one summer's evening, they are drawn into a dense forest near their home where no one dares ever go. What they find there is incredible. The Tree of Seasons is a doorway into another world. There are four kingdoms in this world, each forever stuck in spring, summer, autumn and winter and each with its own ruler. The tree and the world it conceals have existed for hundreds of years and have never been uncovered by anyone, until now. The Lotts find that peace has been shattered in this magical world. One ruler, who bears a remarkable resemblance to their aunt is intent on power at all costs. She causes destruction and suffering that threaten to tear worlds apart. Josh, Michael and Beth have arrived just in time to take part in the battle that the other three kingdoms have to fight in order to survive. The Tree of Seasons is a beautiful story of good and evil and a vividly imagined portrait of a world beyond our own. To me this book sounds amazing and I cannot wait until I get my hands on it! I might even read it to my younger borther when I'm finished! Haha!

After reading this book I simply have to go see it in the West End now!

Great thread! As I have also been contemplating on what to take on holiday this year to St Tropez. Unfortunatly, I've been told that I can only take five with me. On my list will proberly be at least two Tom Sharpe books as they really make me giggle and lighten my mood even further!

I felt the same about The Road! I thought that the book sped up and finshed too quickly in the end. I would have liked a little extra of this really good read!

The book has to drawn me in from the very first page! I also have a thing about incredibly long chapters! Which is proberly one of the reasons I haven't read Harry Potter yet.

I loved this weeks episode! Although I prefer just Amy with the Doctor, Rory was quite funny in some parts. I especially laughed when I saw that the guy trying to rescue his daughter was wearing Rory's stag t-shirt!

Yes I am an avid fan of this show! I've watched it since the very first series! I found that the judges have been very picky this year and no dish that I know of has actually passed the judges without a bad remark. I'm always stumped by them when they say there is not enough love and passion put into this dish...but how can a chef put that across in a plate of food? Enough about the bad stuff though! I just hope this year that a chef from Wales gets a dish through none have prevailed so far!

Has anyone read Burned- P.C and Kristen Cast? It's not long come out and I haven't been able to put my hands on it yet and was wondering what people thought about it.

Being a fan of the young bond series I had to give this new release from Charlie Higson a go! And I must say I wasn't disappointed. They'll chase you. They'll rip you open. I've nearly finished Outcast and so far Soul Eater is my favourite as I loved all of the Ice Clans and the struggle through the icy north!

Vampire Diaries is also at the top of my list tonight!! I will then be tucking into Heston's feast which I find incredible. This weeks feast is based on the 70's with loads of wacky dishes!

I also loved this episode and although I thought I would never like Matt Smith (due to my huge adoration for David Tennant) there I something about Matt that I can't put my finger on... I think this is what is drawing me closer and closer to loving him. I especially loved it when the Doctor did cute little speech before leaving Amy blind in the forest.

Yes I completly agree Weave! My media lecturer gets really annoyed on this subject because he feels that the only reason that they are making an American re-make is the fact that they can't be bothered to read the subtitles and I feel exactly the same. Especially when the Swedish one took so much time picking the perfect cast etc.. Oskar took a whole year to find!

Being a Media student I have had to watch a many of films and one day I came across a Swedish film called Let The Right One In. It was only till after the film that I realised that this was a book I had seen once in the library and ran out to get it. Here is the synopsis: Oskar and Eli. In very different ways, they were both victims. Which is why, against the odds, they became friends. And how they came to depend on one another, for life itself. Oskar is a 12 year old boy living with his mother on a dreary housing estate at the city's edge. He dreams about his absentee father, gets bullied at school, and wets himself when he's frightened. Eli is the young girl who moves in next door. She doesn't go to school and never leaves the flat by day. She is a 200 year old vampire, forever frozen in childhood, and condemned to live on a diet of fresh blood. John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel is a unique and brilliant fusion of social novel and vampire legend, a deeply moving fable about rejection, friendship and loyalty. The film went on to win several awards and was told to be the best vampire film ever and there is going to be an American version called Let Me In released on October 1st (which will destroy it in my opinion). What are your comments on this book?

Like Kell I roughly read a book a week. However, if the book is extra special and I can't put it down it only usually takes me a day or two to read it.

Although I know that I could never wait that long for the film, there is a slight twinge in my inner self that makes me want to make sure that this film is really good!! And I mean good! As some of the scenes could be spectacular if done right!
