  1. This sounds like my kind of read! I love Dystopian futures and sci-fi books! I will put this on my wish list and try and get it very soon!
  2. I read Inkheart a while back now and loved it but after reading the blurb of Inkspell I was put off. Is it worth reading?
  3. RIP Dick King Smith. I cannot believe that I found out the other day that I was actually RELATED to you! I loved you books!
  4. I am waiting for it with sheer anticipation! I need to find out what happens next! ITV2 hurry up! Does anyone know how many are actually left in the series?
  5. I love my dog Bella! She is a cavachon, about 7 months old (half bichon frise and the other King Charles Spaniel) and she is loving, fun and her fur is almost sheep like! The only picture I have is my profile picture but she loves posing for the camera and I can say that she is the best dog I have ever had! Cheesy smile!
  6. I am looking forward to reading; Angel -James Patterson Plague- Michael Grant Clockwork Prince- Cassandra Clare and hopefully the fourth of the inheritance cycle by Chris Paolini will come out this year fingers crossed I've been waiting for ages!
  7. Happy New Year! Thank you for your comment! I did have a wonderful Christmas and like every year I had over a dozen books and to keep up with technology I also had an E-reader so this year on my Summer Holiday in France I won't over-fill my suitcase with books!

  8. I am reading I am Number Four at the moment and I love it! I hope you do as well when you come around to it!
  9. I am a very big fan of Darren Shan and have read both book series and his stand alone novel The Thin Executioner in no time at all but his latest series is based on the life of the much loved Mr.Crepsley. I would like to know if you've read it and what you think of Mr.Shan and his grip on the childhood horror genre! Following the massive success of the Demonata series, Darren Shan is back where it all started – telling the life story of the vampire Larten Crepsley. Spanning centuries and continents, taking in sea voyages, murder, war and love, this is the epic, bloodsoaked tale of a vampire who started out a nobody… and ended up changing the world forever. When Larten escapes the terrible workhouse in which he toils, he doesn’t know that he is running from an early death… into another kind of transformation. After meeting the mysterious vampire Seba Nile while sheltering for the night in a crypt, Larten finds himself drawn into the shadowy world of the vampire Clan. As he travels and learns, Larten finds himself enjoying the adventure he has always dreamed of, seeing a world beyond any he suspected in his poverty-stricken youth. But Larten begins to discover something else, too. Much like death, becoming a vampire is something you can’t come back from…
  10. I incredibly enjoyed The Hunger Games by Susanne Collins and if I go even younger I still read a lot of Enid Blyton. The Magic Faraway Tree still entrances me even now.
  11. I just had this for Christmas I can't wait to read it now!
  12. I love this series! I've just finished The Gift and I just love James Patterson's fast paced and brilliant writing! After reading other works of his such as Maximum Ride I knew this would be a good read!
  13. I would like to thank you for posting this as I am now hooked on the books! I love the characters just as much as Twilight even a bit more well written? Anyway I loved them!
  14. I have read all of the series including the latest Dark Fire and although I'm nearly eighteen I just love them! After reading the likes of Stephen King I love sitting down with Chris d'Lacey and having a good old laugh! I love David's character and the magical clay dragons I adore!
  15. I for one have noticed this! Even more are in production now for example Maximum Ride and The Hunger Games! Although I love seeing the stories come to life on the screen most of them are disappointing and just darn right annoying to watch due to the chopping of the story. Eragon, Percy Jackson and even Darren Shan have all been sad to watch.
  16. My six year old brother loves me reading some Roald Dahl (George's Marvellous Medicine, Twits etc...) to him and more graphic ones like Not Now Bernard, Little Rabbit Foo Foo and Dr.Dog is very funny!
  17. thank you for the post Genevieve! It's always lovely to hear from you. I am also sorry to hear of your bad news and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! X

  18. Oh god I love most of these books but I think there is nothing more exciting than going to Hogwarts!
  19. I also loved Enid Blyton's mystery work! My particular favourite was the Five Findouters (and Dog) series! But my love of crime was brought back with James Patterson and Ian Rankin (Rebus novels)
  20. I'm not sure if these would be a little youngish for you but these are the mystery books that got me into the genre! You got Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, Half Moon Invesitgations- Eoin Colfer, Traces series by Malcom Rose. They are good fun for a little light reading and you got no worries about them being inappropriate or rude!
  21. My mother read to my sister and I from a very young age and always encouraged us to read. Nights snuggled in bed with her reading Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, George's Marvellous Medicine and Fantastic Mr.Fox make up my childhood memories and now that I have an added younger brother into the family I try to get him interested in books, read to him and help him along while learning to read and our visits to our local library are sacred!
  22. Robert Langdon: In his collection of books by Dan Brown his intellect and fast mind I find just dreamy! Lestat de Lioncourt:His wit! Adrian Mole: Boy I would love to shake hands with that kid! Henry Wilt: This has to be the funniest character in literature Artemis Fowl: I would like him to teach me a trick or two?
  23. I know what you mean! After reading Inkheart by Cornelia Funke I loved the story so much and loved the ending and thought that she should have left it like that! But when I found out there were more coming out in the series and read the overview to the plot I was horrified as she seemed to split all of my favourite characters up and ruin my love of Inkheart so I vowed never to read Inkdeath and so on!
  24. Hey everyone I need a little help deciding what book to pick for my 3000 word essay in my lit class. I recognise some of the titles and I have to purchase ONE of them pretty soon. I haven't got enough time to read them all as I've got so much work to do at the moment so it would be great if you could reccomend some to me! Here is the list: George Orwell: 1984 William Golding: Lord of the Flies JD Salinger: Catcher in the Rye Mary Shelley: Frankenstein Joseph Heller: Catch 22 F Scott Fitzgerald: The Great Gatesby George Orwell: Animal Farm Anthony Burgess: A Clockwork Orange I myself read horror, mystery, crime, fantasy so if any specific book you think might be the best to read please!! :)P
