I gave up on Mansfield Park yesterday. It's not that I wasn't enjoying it, I liked it. For some reason though, I kept going very slow and I've been reading it on and off for 2 months almost... I've lost my mojo! I decided to set it aside and start it again sometime next year. I have big plans for next year when it comes to reading and Mansfield Park will be tackled again
I've already started Affinity by Sarah Waters which so far is interesting. I got it from the British Council library randomly so I have no clue about the author. Has anyone read this book? I did a search on the forum earlier but I couldn't find a thread with the author.
Forgot to mention. I did finish The Colour of Magic and I have really mixed feelings about it. It was interesting and it definitely made me want to read more. On the other hand I feel like I haven't understood the whole book, I still don't know the characters well and I'm honestly a bit confused about the whole world it shows. I assume reading more and more of the volumes in the series will help. I just found it a bit... difficult at times. Still, very enjoyable, need to read the second one soon.
