  1. No I've started it and I'm about 200 pages in. It's really catching my attention and starting to hot up nicely. Long reading weekend and it should be finished.
  2. Fish n' Chips.
  3. Going to see Final Destination tomorrow. Not really looking forward to it or not, if I'm honest I'm going just because the GF is.

Hey I'm great thank you. :smile2:

Yeah well at least I know if I didn't actually want to be there I don't have to be!

Glad you're okay. I'm back at school tomorrow for my first day of 6th form. In some ways I'm excited and looking forward to it, but I'm also feeling a bit nervous as well.

  10. Hello, welcome back. Good to see you around again!
  11. *ahem* Just be careful Miss Whitlock that you don't divulge anything about the ending without putting spoiler tags around. Just in case I haven't finished it by the time I read this thread.
  12. Hello and welcome to BCF!
  13. Definitely. I'm really trying with Inkdeath at the moment because it's a lovely cover and I don't want to ruin it at all. Back on topic I found another bookmark of mine lying around today, it's not a very special one, just a plain HP bookmark, but it's another bookmark nevertheless.
  14. Well done Kyle, fantastic will-power! Interesting, I'm assuming you enjoyed it considering you want to read the next one? I gave up on it not even half way through; however I think that was because of the fact I wasn't in the mood, not because I didn't like it.
  15. May have to re-shuffle the TBR pile and move up The House at Riverton now thanks to your good comments. Heard some good things about it.
  16. Not usually. However I do find, if I'm still struggling with a novel after a certain length of time, I may move on.
  17. It's interesting because I was contemplating going through the shelves to find some that I might not mind parting with. It would be the first time passing my novels on, but it needs to be done so that more space can be gained. I'll see how it goes..
  18. Well that's not a bad rating, maybe I'll push it up the pile. And of course you won't, but I tried nevertheless. Thought someone may attempt to remind me that I should stop buying and do more reading.
  19. Without a shadow of a doubt, The Golden Compass comes close to winning the award of 'Worst book to film', in my opinion. The trilogy, His Dark Materials is my favourite of all time. I watched the film without any expectations, because undoubtedly I expected it to not come close. However, even I was disappointed. The film ruins the book in my opinion and I strongly advise people not to see the film whilst I'm advising them to read the novels.
  20. "Moonlight fell on Elinor's dressing gown, her nightdress, her bare feet, and the dog lying in front of them." Inkdeath. - Cornelia Funke.
  21. Hah, was that like intentional?
  22. Hah, you have a good point! I really enjoyed the House of Night novels at first, then thought it was getting repetitive towards the end of the third book. However, judged on Lexi's review of the fourth, I'm persevering with the rest of the series.
  23. I haven't even read the first one - oh the shame. However I've anticipated enjoying it, therefore buying the next one. It gets worse..
  24. It's such a terrible cycle Chesil, isn't it. How will we manage?
  25. Ultimately, it's got to be one. I can then concentrate on that book in it's entirety instead of divulging myself in others.
