  1. I also started "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" on Christmas day, Ian; I also have the next two on my shelf's waiting. I have also seen all three films. I don't usually watch the films first, but I did in this case. The book was fantastic and I really enjoyed it. A good long plotted book, just what I like. I might even read it again before I read the other two. Roger
  2. I have nearly read all of Michael Connelly's books. He is my favorite Crime writer. I have the last two to read; I will be reading them soon. I love reading books in order and in particular the Harry Bosch series. There will always be books that are not as good as others but overall an excellent series. keep with it.
  3. I stop at the beginning of the first paragraph after turning the page. If there is no paragraph then at the top of the new page. When I start again I always read the last few lines that I previously read.
  4. I have read two of his, Post Office, and one other, I forget which one that was as I read them long ago. I did enjoy both especially Post Office; I remember that because I was working for the Post office myself at the time. He certainly led a colorful life.
  5. I usually read books and watch films after. But this time I watched the 3 films before I read 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'. I am usual a slow careful reader, but this book I just couldn't put down: it's the fastest I have read a book for years; and what a fantastic, complex, intriguing thriller it was too. Brilliant.
  6. I have nearly read all of John Irving's books, and I love them all except for a couple. My favorites are, 'A Prayer for Owen Meany' and 'a widow for one year'. His latest books have not been as good in my view, but I'm hopeful on 'last night in twisted river' which I have yet to read; It's sitting on my self waiting for me. The world according to Garp is another favorite, but this book seem so old now, and I read it so long ago, but it did give me a good username.
  7. Hello, I love Tom Sharpe books, and I have read and re-read them many times. I have never read anyone else who writes comedy/farce like he does. Can you recommend another author who writes this type of comedy. I look forward to any suggestions. Many thanks.
