I picked up the graphic novel version of this and pretty much had the same reaction to it as you guys. There were many WTF moments, but in the end it was all tied up and I kinda liked it.

absolutely loved this novel. I watched the movie too and as with most people, had a bit of disappointment when it was translated into film.

I love Haruki Murakami books. My favorites are Wind Up Bird Chronicles, Dance Dance Dance and Norwegian Wood. Sometimes I feel like I'm reading a series but I guess it's just how Murakami keeps his works tied together while being inventive and creative.

Paulo Coelho's Eleven Minutes really felt like eleven minutes but I remember it just took one blissfully-free Saturday for me to finish it.

Read Breaking Dawn (it was my 12 year old daughter's copy!) around December of last year and was finished with it in a week or so. well, it's a good thing i read it before she did because i heard from other twi-fans that this was the steamiest book. well, it's tween-appropriate steam! =D

I guess those who are sci-fi aficionados can recall a certain book series from the 1970s set in a barren desert world. Anyway, to answer the question right now I'm 15 year-old Sophie from The Cavalier of the Rose chapter in Anthony Burgess' collection The Devil's Mode.
