    Ice Hockey

I'm going with canada as usual (Lived there for 5 years). I was really into hockey while living there (Ottawa Senators is my team), but in Israel there is close to no hockey and due to time zone related issues, I'm having big problems following it...
  2. Hey Natty, Another epic which is written in a language we can understand is Tad Williams "Otherland" (4 volumes). I'm assuming that you're interested in a Horror / Supernatural / Fantasy / Sci-Fi book based on your post here. Well, this is kind of a combination of Fantasy and Sci-Fi.
  3. In my humble opinion (And I looked at English, rather than British) and only based on players I SAW play (on TV): 1. Beckham 2. Gasgoine 3. Rooney 4. Keegan 5. Ferdinand If I could look at British players though: 1. Giggs 2. Becks 3. Gasgoine 4. Rooney 5. Keegan
  4. :eek2: My son is reading these now (9 year old). He reads a page and then hides under the blanket. He comes to the living room saying he's too scared to go to sleep and I tell him to get a book, and that will calm him down. Then I see what book he takes. LoL.
  5. I'd list a few Israeli Bands here, but that wouldn't be fair However, Our lady peace is not completely unknown, should, by all rights be a heck of a lot bigger worldwide. I'm talking about Coldplay size (and in my humble opinion - much better than Coldplay). I really liked a Band called Whale, they were swedish and they had one hit more or less. I baought that Album (We care) and I found it great. Check them out.
  6. Indeed. Bless his soul. and thanks for all the fish.
  7. I saw him too, in Toronto and I was laughing so hard, I had tears running down my face. This is the time to appologize to all the viewers around me, who had to go through my fits :-) LoL
  8. Man, I have no energy to dig out and name specific episodes, so with that in mind: Homicide: Life on the streets - Just about ANY episode of this best TV show of all times OZ had some REALLY good ones too. The X Files early seasons were packed with HoF worthy episodes and how could I forget Fawlty Towers? a true masterpiece and finally Seinfeld... Now I can go on and on about that one :-)
  9. To me it is a waste of time... The problem is that TV is so full of them, I hardly watch TV anymore... They use up all the time slots that could otherwise be filled with a lot more attractive shows.
  10. I absolutely LOVE Our lady peace :-) in no particular order, mine are: Led Zeppelin Bruce Springsteen Metallica Neil Young Foo Fighters (who's discography is currently playing in the background)
  11. I am an Israeli. I also lived in canada for 5 years (for work) and had fun there too :-)
  12. Welcome Kate (I'm quite a newbie too :-)). There are at least Two great things to come out of New Jersey - Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi
  13. A great crossover I read is the Dirk Gently series (Douglas Adams). For those of you who haven't heard of it, I highly recommend it :-) without spoiling it, I'll say that It's all about this "holistic detective" who gets involved with the "abnormal". Fantastic.
  14. I've searched the forum a couple of times, and I might have missed it. But is there a link anyone cares to share with all that lists ALL Discworld series books in order? If there's one thing I must do is starting a series from the first book on :-)
  15. Well, I'm at 11... which is still more than 6, but I'm afraid much less than I wish it was... 1 Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen 2 The Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkien 3 Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte 4 Harry Potter series - JK Rowling 5 To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee 6 The Bible 7 Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte 8 1984 - George Orwell 9 His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman 10 Great Expectations - Charles Dickens 11 Little Women - Louisa M Alcott 12 Tess of the D
