  1. Happy birthday Jen! Have a fantastic birthday.

  2. Hope you had a great birthday!!

  3. Happy Birthday for yesterday!

  4. I've been reading several Alison Weir's books. First I read "Eleanor of Aquitaine: A Life" and now I'm reading "Queen Isabella". Next up is "Mistress of the Monarchy: The Life Of Katherine Swynford, Duchess of Lancaster". I also burned through Joey W. Hill's "Vampire Trinity".
  5. Happy birthday!!

  6. I have a first edition set of Winston Churchill's Birth of Britain series. I don't know how old they are. But my favorite (if not the oldest) is a first edition collection of short stories by Dorothy Parker that my father bought me. It's probably not that old, but I love it.
  7. I finished Jess Granger's "Beyond The Shadows". This was a sequel and it was good....but not as good (IMHO) as the first one "Beyond The Rain". She's a fantastic writer, however, so I'll buy her next one.
  8. Counting The Hours by Digital Summer. AWESOME CD.
  9. I've just finished reading Jess Granger's "Beyond the Shadows" which is the sequel to her debut Sci Fi romance "Beyond the Rain". I love the first book. The sequel is...not as strong. But it's still really good with some awesome world building. Working full time now and still trying to produce books for my publishers kind of sucks the time away from reading.
  10. I've been reading FOUND to my 8 and 9 year old boys and they're fascinated. I have to admit, I am too. I love the story and I'm really enjoying the characters. Has anyone else read the whole series? It's so hard to find really GOOD books to read to them. Like I started the "Series of Unfortunate Events" books and stopped because they were so depressing. "Inkheart" was dark and scary. Even The Stoneheart trilogy by Charlie Fletcher was pretty dark. My boys have been "meh" about the Percy series. But they REALLY like this one. Thoughts? Any other books like these you'd recommend?
