  10. Chaliepud's 2017 Reading Log

That reading challenge sounds like fun Hayley. I assume you have just started this one...I might pinch it.. I assume you can't double up, each one has to be a different author/title etc.
  11. The Last Film You Saw - 2017

Went to see 'Allied' with Brad Pitt in...was quite good. Friend and I enjoyed it.
  12. Ben's Books 2017.

I've read this one too, but can't recall much about it. I'm sure I found it a bit disappointing I think, but can't remember why that was. As for Rebus by Ian Rankin, I can honestly say that being a Scot I have never read any of his books, but I know my in-laws had shelves full of those kind of reads. We gave so many away, when house clearing...

  19. Diane's Reading List - 2017

'The Penguin Lessons' by Tom Michell What a great first read of the year. Tom Michell and his tale of him and Juan Salvador, the penguin he rescued from the beach after an oil slick. The smuggling him through the borders from Uruguay to Argentina. Nursing him back to health and Juan living with him on the college campus. making friends with all the boys, becoming the rugby team mascot and finally getting to swim. I just loved it all. It was lovely written and it made me smile throughout. 5/5 (recommend....I just love penguins)

  23. Chaliepud's 2017 Reading Log

Well, if I'm honest I started it last year and kept abandoning it. I did tick it off as read last year for my Goodreads, but I haven't actually finished it yet. I do agree with your mum, enjoying it but is a bit slow. I need to stick with it and get it finished though...hate not finishing a book

I only buy online if I can't find it in Waterstone's. I so enjoy browsing 'real' bookstores that online, but if I have to Waterstones, Wordery and Amazon. Somebody mentione 'Hive' to be me the other day..hadn't heard of that one.
