Having read and enjoyed all 18 of Beryl Bainbridge's novels - in the order they were written - I am confused by her (sadly) final book - The Girl In The Polka Dot Dress.
Do some of the characters and incidents appear in some of the early novels?
1. Rose's mother and father also appear in - A Quite Life - father in his beret sitting by the fire and mother reading library books at the railway station.
2. Dr and Mrs Wheelers "sofa antics" also occurs in - Harriet Said?
Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
