Has anybody read this book?

My mother in law told me about a great book she read recently about a woman who was a nun and studied theology for years, and I think she did something in mission but not sure. I'm pretty sure her first name began with M. It sounded great and like a really profound book. I could ask her the name again of course of course, but I already asked her once to remind me and I feel daft asking again, plus she isn't speaking to me at the moment.

It may have been something by Karen Armstrong, who seems to fit the description above. I have not read her books, but know others who have, and they highly recommend them. Whatever that book is though, it sounds like the sort of thing I would also like to read, so let me know if you manage to find out !
