I wondered if anyone can help.
Can anyone name what book the guy laying down on the back seat is reading?

Would it be possible to let us know why you'd like to know??

Looks like it's a still from a film. (Actually, it looks like it should be from Into The Wild, but I don't think that's the actor, but if it was then the book would probably be Jack London or Walden by Thoreau, but the cover looks more human than either of those).

Thinking about it more, it looks like it should be a Penguin Modern Classic given the sultry black and white pic. But it looks very much like a U.S. pic (with the Tecate bag and the scenery), and it doesn't have the silver trim.

The kind of cover, though, suggests that it is a reissue of something considered to be a classic. Probably 20th century. Something like Sartre or Plath or Boll or Camus or something existential like that.

It would certainly be easier, though, if we knew the film it was from to get some kind of context.

Give me a clue, though, as to the source of the image. I might be able to help more. What's the film (or TV show) it's from?

Its not from a tv show or movie. Its a just a picture of a band called Band of Horses, its an early picture of them on tour.

So, there literally is no context to it.

thanks

Hi,
have you tried to contact the band by email to find out what book he is reading? I'm pretty sure that they get quite a lot of emails but this one would definitely stick out ;-) - so your chance to get a reply might be quite good.
