Help me please (if you can)

Hi, i am hoping for a little bit of help, i have been going out of my head trying to think of a book that i read years ago, unfortunately i cannot remember the name of it or even the author (i know a lot of help that is!!!!) but i thought i would give it go anyway.

From what i can remember of the story, it is set in a beautiful countryside, where a young girl is trying to become an artist (i think) when a rock band (two guys i think are mainly mentioned) rents or buys a house and settles in, but the girl, who does not follow their style of music does not recognise them and ends up at their house (cant remember the circumstances, whether she was trespassing or painting) but anyway she ends up at the house pleading her innocence but they dont believe her, (she doesnt recognise them or know who they are) anyway one ends taking a liking to her but is drunk and well one thing leads to another and the girl leaves, feeling sick and taking advantage of.

i think she tells one person what happened, but when one of the guys from the band walks the grounds the next day he finds the painting easel the girl was talking about. Knowing then that he had done something wrong he goes to seek out the girl to apologise, knowing then that she was telling the truth. But the girl wont see him because of what happened.

She ends up pregnant, and the story then is about their stormy relationship and how they begin to understand each other and do end up falling in love.

If anyone can remember or has any suggestions as to the name or anything about this book i would be extremely grateful, i would love to read it again but cannot remember the details of it.

This sounds familiar to a book I read years ago. It was teen fiction though - could that be it or was it an adulkt novel?

hi aromaannie, yip it was a teen fiction one. do you remember the name of it? for some reason it has popped into my head and i remember reading it, thinking it was excellent, and now im wondering just how good was it and would like to read it again.

I'm pretty sure we are talking about the same book but the bad news is I can't remember the title. :blush: I also remember loving it and there was also a sequel to it that I read too. I'll have another think and see if I can remember the name

Could this book be 'Easy Connections' by Liz Berry? That one has a very similar story line to what you describe. Not sure whether we are allowed to post links but you can find it at amazon. Hope this helps.

Glad I could be of help. It was actually my teenage daughter who pointed me in the right direction as she has read it in the past and liked it a lot. Might have to give it a go myself (I love reading all her books).

I have since googled it and have purchased both easy connections and easy freedom, so can't wait for the postie to arrive, looking forward to re-reading it again. :readingtwo:
