Hi All, Just joined and this is my first post.

I have been searching around for a specific book and wondered if any of you guys could recommend or know of one. The story i am after is one about a family where the focus is on one member who is considered to be the black sheep, having done nothing wrong other than marrying someone outside of his religion. (yes, this is about me and having nowhere really to turn i thought maybe reading about someone in a similar situation will give me something positive to latch on to).

Any ideas/suggestions?

It's not exactly the situation you described, but A Complicated Kindness by Miriam Toews deals with religion and "the outside" and the whole complexity of inside/outside. It's a story of a girl who lives in a Mennonite community with her dad, her mom and sister have left the community (separately) and she finds herself torn into both directions. Toews knows what she's talking about, having grown up in a Mennonite community herself and the book is really one I would recommend, as it's a great powerful story.
