I found this one on Amazon - Sean's Leap by Lois Lamplugh (published in 1979). Is that the one you're looking for? CLICK HERE (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seans-Leap-Lois-Lamplugh/dp/0233970835/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217693969&sr=1-1).

Hi Colin,
Can you remember anything more about the book to tell us. Autism is one of my special interests so I might want to buy it too!!
Thanks,
Heather :)

Not too sure but I read it as a kid and I wanted to work with autistic children after reading it. it was so long ago that I was curious as to why I enjoyed it and wanted to re read it which is something I rarely do with books

Hi Colin,
Thanks for that. Did you ever fulfill your idea of working with autistic kids? I think I may order it so if you want to discuss it afterwards let me know.
Heather :)
