remember a book - need a title

i remember a book I read recetly about a boy whose father dies on 9/11. he finds a key in a safe with a name or possibly two names on it - one was possibly the name Black. his quest to find the person takes him all over New York. i have forgotten the name of the book and any information regarding the book would be helpful.
