Hi everyone, my husband and i are asking for your help tracking some books we read as children. My husband is after the titles of something similar to 'roger red hat' and something about pirates, which he read as a primary school pupil and i am desperate to find out the title and author of a book i read as a 10-11yo that i can only remember bits of, such as, the childs dad was running for town mayor and the child had to post leaflets, there was access to the loft through the ceiling in the toilets at school with a picture of admiral drake in it and most importantly, you dont know the central character is a girl until the very end. Please help, it is driving us crazy!!!
