Laura, I use Firefox, and nothing has changed here. What's wrong with Quick Reply?

I know nothing about firefox but if multi-quote isn't working I press F5 or F6 and that usually gets it going again. Don't know why. Magic?

As you can see Laura, it's fine here.. so I don't think it's anything this end. Did you try prospero's suggestion?

When using Quick Reply you need to hit the button marked "Q Reply" on the post to which you wish to reply. You will then automatically be taken to the Quick Reply box to type your message. You then hit the "Post Quick Reply" button beneath the box. You can also check the little box that says "Quote message in reply?" if you want to quote as part of your message.

When using Multi-Quote, you need to hit the button on each of the posts you wish to quote - the one that looks like "+ (bewteen the "Quote" and "Q Reply" buttons). After you've done that on each of the desired posts, you click on the button at the bottom of the page that says "Post reply" - it will take you to the advanced post screen complete with the post quotes you selected.

When quoting a single post, you can simply hit the "Quote" button on the required post. you will automatically be taken to the advanced post screen with the post quote you selected.

Please remember that when quoting previous posts, delete anything not relevant to your reply - it makes things much easier to read. :)

Sometimes this has happened to me, only one or two messages will come up out of a few, but usually it is fine.

I know nothing about firefox but if multi-quote isn't working I press F5 or F6 and that usually gets it going again. Don't know why. Magic?f5 performs a 'hard refresh' which is a complete reload of the page your on so it will re-load the page and get rid of any bugs or glitches that may have occured in the original page load. :)

another solution would be copy paste the comment you want and put this round it : the quote

*Edit*
edited to put code tags round so people could see the code rather than the effect.

you can actually only mullti-quote a certain amount of messages in a single post. I think it's 5, but I'm not 100% certain. If you want to quote any more than that, you'd need to do two separate posts (or more, if you were quoting 10 messages, but I don't think you'd need to dothat very often! ;) )

Laura, it really sounds as if you need to upgrade or reinstall Firefox.

I took it out and reinstalled it nothing. I done a virus scan and there no threats appearing on it.

I hate to say it, Laura, but with the multi-screen causing your computer to crash, it sounds like you might need an upgrade anyway...

I removed firefox and installed it. I installed it again and should be the updated version of it.

You know at the side you normally get a pic up and some are open and some closed but i don't have any of that on firefox.

Is there anything in my settings i should look at?

I'm using intenet explorer at the monet

Laura, it's often very difficult to sort out a computer problem without actually sitting in front of it. No one else appears to be having problems with FF, so it sounds like something your end. And as Kell said, if your pc is crashing when you open multiple windows, it could be that your actual computer needs upgrading.

Do you have any friends who know a bit about computers, who could actually sit at yours and check your settings etc etc?
