It looks like they are making a SATC movie (http://www.smh.com.au/news/film/carrie-and-pals-back-together-for-movie/2007/09/22/1189881834903.html). I'm a huge fan of the series - rewatching it now - but I just can't see it working as a movie.
Apparently it picks up where the series left off. Hmmm, I'll probably go see it anyway. :D

I have never seen an episode (in full) of Sex & The City. I saw the odd minute here or there but what I saw of it never really appealed to me. Maybe if I actually saw it from the very start I would have felt differently though.

Looks like Kim Cattral finally got her act together then, as I know she was the one whose shenanigans put the project on hold last time. Stories said she wanted script priorities or something, and more money. I'm glad they're getting sorted out though - the film could be a lot of fun - if it's done right!

I think I've seen every episode of Sex & the City, but I actually thought Sarah Jessica Parker was extremely annoying! However, I think a movie version would be great!

I loved the show and am looking forward to the movie. I really want the shoebox set of all the series but can't justify £100+ for them!!

One can justify way over £100 for shoes but not for a show about shoes? Yes, one can! No, strike that. One must!

When I say I love shoes I mean I love shoes (approx. 80 pairs) but still haven't ever spent over £100 on a pair....managed £80. Will just have to try harder!!

I have never spent more than £35.. and that was on boots! I don't really get the whole thing about shoes. Now.. jackets.. that's a different question - I love jackets! :D

My reasoning behind the whole shoe thing is that I could still buy shoes when I was a size 20 and not have to buy a bigger size and not go home empty handed because I felt nothing looked nice!

I have spent exactly $100 on shoes before, but only on two occasions. I spend more money on handbags. The most I've spent is $280, and that was with an employee discount that gave me half off. The actual price of the handbag I bought was $460! Tooootally worth it! :tong:

I do get the shoes, and the handbags. I like to get classic pieces for clothes, especially jackets and other "bigger" things, and then just keep the look fresh with accessories. The last shoes I bought were the boots I wore the other day, little over $1,000, and they were worth every penny.

Handbags...don't even get me started on handbags!!
$1000 on boots - they must be a special sort of boot - WOW!!

I didn't think it worked as a book. As a column it worked well, but the book was a disappointment to me. Having said that, I got it free with something - I don't think I'd have paid good money for it - so I can't complain too loudly! :D

I haven't read the book, but I've only seen bad reviews. I love the show though
I read the book ages ago, don't think I hated it, can't be sure.
The movie's blah, though.

The movie's blah, though.
Why blah?!
It's just... blah. There's none of the sharp wit and sarcasm of the show, it's just about emotional fluff. The outfits are nice, though! And the jokes, while good, were few and far between...

You know what I don't get? If these women are so sexually liberated, why do they wear bras when they're making the beast with two backs?

I very much enjoyed the movie version of the tv show of the same name.
It's good to see the girls as the show left off when the seasons ended at season 6.
It's full of fun and thrown in with sexy scenes that would make mary whitehouse angry.

It has nothing to do with sexual liberation and everything to do with getting a better profile on the screen. Push-ups, my dahlin', push-ups.
