On the back of the book it says that it was the "Winner of the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger for the best thriller of 2004".
I enjoyed this book - it is everything a thriller should be - fast paced -main character a good hero(if a bit too good to be true!) - full of suspense - with more than a couple of twists in the plot to make it more interesting. It is based in Nazi Germany, during the Olympics, and I ended up thinking about the Germans whose lives were made pure hell because of their fellow countrymen, whereas I usually think of the Jews/Polish/others.
The book's secondary characters are also given a lot of life through the author's descriptions and their actions - I ended up rooting for quite a lot of people................
