Wrath - did my post about links help?

Well, I TRIED ... I tried a bunch of times, but it just won't work.

http://www.bookclubforum.co.uk/ (http://www.bookclubforum.co.uk/forum/../)

book club forum (http://www.bookclubforum.co.uk/forum/book%20club%20forum)

book club forum (http://www.bookclubforum.co.uk/forum/../)

What I want is the text "book club forum" to be a link, not the specific URL showing ... it just don't work for me, I'm an idiot and can't solve it even with instructions!

Wait! The last one worked! ... now what did I do....

I'll get it eventually, lol.

When you've pasted the link and clicked okay - all you do is type what you want.

I'm not sure how else to explain it!

Bagpuss explained beautifully. Wrath don't worry I did not know how to do that before Michelle explained it to me either. Just write a word, click on the 6th icon (world- paperclip thingy) and insert your address in the URL line.

how do i post a link from another site without the address? You can't - you need the web address for the link to work.

It's in the Frequently Asked Questions section - HERE (http://bookclubforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3390) under "How do I add a link to my text?"

One more time.. write the word, such as 'BBC'. Then use your mouse to highlight that word. Then click on the little graphic above that looks like this.. http://bookclubforum.co.uk/forum/images/editor/createlink.gif - a little box will come up, and you type in the URL, such as 'www.bbc.co.uk' (do not remove the http:// that's in the little box).

There really is no other way to explain it.
