Hi, just finished reading this book and thought it was brilliant. i have read all of Karin Slaughters books and this is a standalone story compared to the others which were part of a very disturbing series!!!
This book kept me gripped throughout, and i couldnt believe the change of story in the second part as it was just the best twist at the end. (will not ruin for everyone else):D

I loved this one to. Enjoyed that it was not a Grant County one and yet I knew that characters and sympathised with them all. Very clver too, not an average run of the mill thriller

What sort of stories does she write?

She sounds familar but I just can't think of any of her books.

Other books of hers are

Faithless
Blindsighted
Kisscut
A Faint Cold Fear

Normally her books contain 2 main characters

Sara Linton - paediatrician/Medical Examiner
Jeffrey Tolliver - Police Chief

thrillers a la Cornwell

but not nearly so dreary as the characters are quite nice and actually appear to be humans rather than the cold fembot scarpetta is

I have finished this today, and agree to the general opinion that this book is great. It is a fast paced thriller, with a clever plot, and a nice twist which leaves you breathless. Karin Slaughter has certainly become one of the best thriller writers of the moment. I loved this stand alone - sometimes reading about the same characters in one book after another can get a bit too predictable - you already know the good/bad characteristics, and there is not much room for discovery. BCF readers who love thrillers should get hold of this book.

I love Karin Slaughter too, her books are just so engrossing.

I'm about half way through her new one, Fractured, which is based in Atlanta again with Will Trent rather than Grant County. Quite enjoying it so far :D

Hi there. I'm new here and was just wondering - I'm currently reading Karin Slaughter's Indelible and have got about half way through but find myself loosing interest! I've already read Blindsighted, Kisscut and A Faint Cold Fear which i thoroughly enjoyed but with this one i just cant seem to get into it as good. I've got to the point where Jeffrey and Sara have discovered his mate has shot some guy and it seems Jeffrey is hiding something. Does it get better or should i just skip to her next one?
