I have finished A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon. This was the 6th book in The Cross Stitch/Outlander series and I loved it. I had put off reading it because of its length and because I had thought that the series was going down hill a bit, but this book saw Diana Gabaldon right back on track. Although glad to have made it through the 979 pages I still I felt quite sad when it finished. Will there be a 7th book? Oh I do hope so.

Well I did manage a chunky book in May. I managed to finish Alias Grace, which is a thoroughly good read and has 542 pages.

Next month I hope to read The Night Watch by Sarah Waters, which I consider to be quite chunky at 472 pages.

I managed to get through The Night Watch by Sarah Waters for June’s Doorstep challenge. It is only 475 pages but it took me quite some time. I really enjoyed this book despite a bad start.

This month I am reading The Covenant by James Michener. It has 1075 pages so I hope I can manage to finish it before the end of the month.

Well I finished all 1079 pages of The Covenant. I seemed to be reading it for most of July and in fact it was the only book that I managed that month. I don’t know yet what I will read during August. Something a bit shorter I hope.

Try Until I find You. At about 800 pages it is a bit shorter. :tong:

Thanks for the recommendation Niceguy. Until I Find You
is not on my mount TBR, but I will keep it in mind for another time.:)

I have decided to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows since I have it, and want to read it before I tempted into the threads about it. At just over 600 pages I am hoping it will be a nice easy read.

Finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. A good quick read for August.

I have had Exodus by Leon Uris on my shelf for quite some time, so I think it is time to give it a go. At 626 pages I expect it will keep me busy for quite some time.

October’s read was The Forest by Edward Rutherfurd.

At 882 pages it was along read but a good one.

In December I read ‘Brick Lane’ by Monica Ali. It was 500 pages long and for me it was a pretty slow read.
