I have 'The Mammoth Cheese' and 'The Book Thief' on TBR pile, I have read 'The Secret Life of Lizzie Jordan', it was a fun book.

She writes some good 'chick lit' books, with some good humour. To date, I've read:
With or Without You - very good
A Whiff of Scandal - very good
The Chocolate Lover's Club - Excellent!
Welcome to the Real World - Not my favourite, although Carole herself says it's one of hers

Book theif

Something happens at the train station then something awful happens to her brother on a train. She goes to a school where she in a lot of trouble at first. She in a class with kids under then lisea.

One day she was asked to write a letter to someone in her calls and she thought that was stupid and she asked her papa( isn’t her real pappa) if she could write to mum.

At Christmas she got a special suppose she didn’t expect.

Her mother does the washing and iron for people unfortunately that doesn’t work out well.

In revenge she stells books from the mayors house

Max vandeburgh he a jew and jews are not ment to live on munch street. He got to be hidden.

Looking in basements to see if there could use it as a shelter.

Race day Rudy wants to win all four races. Can he do it?

She went back to the mayour house the window was shut with a book (I think was inside) Was it a trap or did she manage to get the book?

there is more thinks that happen in the book. If i told you it would just spoil the book.

This book will save you life.

I'm also reserved The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O'Farrell ( for may reading circle.) Its looks like that book will win.

I think i need to read more books at night. The interpretation of murder and Round Ireland with a fridge have arrived at my local library.

The interpretation of murder i will have to read quite quick when i get cos i sure it be reserved for another borrow.

I fogot to say i also have The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O'Farrell

There no enough time in the day to read all the books.

Yes it was it was a brilliant book.

The Bit where she tried to fix a house that burned down the kitchen but backfired on her.

Yes it was and it be the last one.

It was an ok read.


Its seems weird she the same author for sophie kinselle. those books are brilliant.

I am now reading The Interpretation of Murder. I just started it and i'm hooked.

I loved this book. you just get hooked on the story.

Yes it was i laughed quite a lot.


Its was so funny in bits. I'm sad now i finshed it because most of the real strories are sad. I really enjoyed it.

Its took a wee bit to get in to

When people call the vet out there shocked to find its not the person there expected and don't relly trust him.

1- Who was your favourite character? James Herriot

2- Was there a particular part you enjoyed more than the rest?
When Mr herriot decides to put a horse down the owner up in arms about. He them compared to Mr farnon who said he was right he did what he should of.

3- Was this the first book you've read in this genre/ by this author, has it encouraged you to read more? Yes It was and I think I will read more.

4- Were there any parts/ideas you struggled with?

There was one part of it there were drinking and got a call out and he said he walked but on the way out he said he drove back home.

5- Overall, was reading the book an enjoyable experience? Yes and interesting.

2- Was there a particular part you enjoyed more than the rest? When Luke has becky testing a suitcase out she took it roound the shop to see how the wheels are.

4- Were there any parts/ideas you struggled with? She just keeps on buying things when she in big dept.

If you look for my review of The Chocolate Lover's Club, you can see how much I loved it! I like most of Carole Matthews's books, but I think this is her best. :)
