Hi everyone! Anyone who lives in Essex might be interested in this bookshop! You can take your old books in and they give you a credit to spend in the shop for each book you bring in normally £1 and their books start at £1.50! Most are second hand but in very good condition but they also have brand new books for £3.50!
Its situated in the old arcade (by the market) in Romford! I buy 99% of my books there!! It doesn't have a name as such i dont think but its in the middle entrance of the old arcade!

Sounds great! However, does he accept all books? We had a second book shop in Dartford until not long ago. I'd lug in loads of books, only to have most given back because he didn't want them! (He'd only give something like 50p aswell, and nearly all his books were £3.50 to buy.. it was too much effort in the end!)

They accept most books apart from the likes of Catherine Cookson, Danielle Steel, Josephine Cox etc quite sinply because they just have so many and no one seems to want to buy them.
I have been able to sell them most of the books i bring in as i avoid bringing in the above authors. A lot of friends give me their old books so that i can go and swop them at the bookshop! Great! ;)
Oh and they only accept paperbacks.

 I'm just over the bridge, near Dartford. Hubby comes from Romford, so we pop that way sometimes. :)

What a small world - I spent many a happy holiday down the road in Woodford Green - staying with my grandparents. Haven't been there since 1990.
