After wondering about Terry Pratchett for some time, I finally decided to start off with Mort.

Mort is chosen as an apprentice for Death, and starts to learn a little about how things operate. Death is a great character, who takes some time out to be a cook! There's also a strange wizard, and a Princess.. and a horse named Binky!

This is the 4th Discworld novel, but it's not a problem jumping in here. (See this thread (http://bookclubforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86) for more info.) Discworld is a strange place, where Pratchett's imagination can run wild.

It's an easy book to read, with the feeling that a second reading might yield more info and humour. Don't miss the footnotes.. they're totally irrelevant, but very amusing.

If you've been considering Pratchett, consider no more.. I've a feeling I'll be working my way through all the rest in the future! :)
