Twelve people are about to compete in a 'Survivor' type game on an island. However, within minutes of the first broadcast, all the crew are dead, killed by a virus. The contestants are informed by 'control' that they are also infected, and they must get a vaccine every 24 hours to live. Each day, the public will decide who doesn't recieve their vaccine.. and therefore who will die.
This book throws you straight into the action, and it doesn't let up until the last page. Who is 'control', will the contestants survive their now deadlier challenges, and will the American public really vote for someone to die?
With our obsession into reality shows, and the threat of terrorism, this is a great topic for a book. It's not perfect.. some moments could have been made even more tense.. but on the whole it's a fantastic page turner.
