What books are you looking forward to seeing published in 2012?

I'm looking forward to some 2011 books being published in paperback.

Here are some I'm looking forward to (I'm including sequels from series that I own but haven't read, because I'm sure I'll love them when I eventually read them!):

Cassandra Clare City of Lost Souls (Mortal Instruments #5)

Cassandra Clare Clockwork Princess (Infernal Devices #3)

Eoin Colfer The Last Guardian (Artemis Fowl #8)

Justin Cronin The Twelve (Passage #2)

Jasper Fforde Dark Reading Matter (Thursday Next #7)

Jasper Fforde Return of Shandar (Last Dragonslayer #3)

Mark Haddon The Red House

Charlaine Harris Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse #12)

Melina Marchetta Quintana of Charyn (Finnikin #3)

Beth Revis A Million Suns (Across the Universe #2)

Veronica Roth Insurgent (Divergent #2)

Carlos Ruiz Zafon The Prisoner of Heaven (Shadow of the Wind #3)

Carlos Ruiz Zafon The Watcher in the Shadows

Markus Zusak Bridge of Clay

It looks like Diane Setterfield, who wrote The Thirteenth Tale, might also have another book coming out. :)

Ooh, I've just found another list that details more books that are being published. I'll go and pore over that now. :D

This thread is scaring the life out of me. Books by authors I like/love are coming out and before reading this thread I was blissfully ignorant.

Of those mentioned I'm interested in

Jasper Fforde Dark Reading Matter (Thursday Next #7)

Jasper Fforde Return of Shandar (Last Dragonslayer #3)

Mark Haddon The Red House

Charlaine Harris Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse #12)

Carlos Ruiz Zafon The Prisoner of Heaven (Shadow of the Wind #3)

Carlos Ruiz Zafon The Watcher in the Shadows

Markus Zusak Bridge of Clay

Diane Setterfield

And that's just too much. :o

Edit: Where do you find info on books that are being published? Or do you guys just keep a close eye on your favorite authors and that way know what's coming out and when?

  • 3 weeks later...

A new Peter Carey:

The Chemistry of Tears by Peter Carey (Faber). In modern-day London, a conservator mourning the death of her secret lover tries to unravel the mystery of a 19th-century automaton: a clockwork puzzle made for a sick child. Life and death, love and human invention are explored as the two stories intertwine.

and

a new Kate Summerscale:

Mrs Robinson's Disgrace by Kate Summerscale (Bloomsbury). The follow-up to the prizewinning, bestselling The Suspicions of Mr Whicher centres on a celebrated Victorian divorce case.

I don't often look forward to books coming out - I'm too busy keeping up with what is already on my shelves! - but I have to admit that one that I will buy the day it emerges is the sequel to Wolf Hall. Bring Up The Bodies is due out in on 10th May. My half term reading is already sorted!
