Nali
Roberson,Jennifer - The Chronicles of Cheysuli; Shapechangers This is the first book in the Chronicles of Cheysuli. I read this book about 15 years ago, and loved it then. It was one of the first times I dipped my toes into the Fantasy-pool and it is one of the biggest reasons I kept reading the fantasygenre. The book is mainly about Alix, a young woman who falls in love with a prince, and hier to the trone of Homara, but before much can happen, Alix is abducted by a Cheysuli warrior. He intends to take Alix as his mistress against her will... The Homarans have feared the Cheysuli for many years, thinking they are beasts, monsters, deamons... For Alix this might all change soon as she makes a life-changing discovery about herself and her past. Jennifer Roberson manages to conjuror up the most vivid images in my head - something I really enjoy in a book and writer. She is very good at driving the story along, and there is not one dull moment in the entire book. As I already said, I love this book, and I am sure I will enjoy the other seven in the series - and I have just learned that there will be at least three more books written in the near future about this wonderful world! nursenblack
Gonna start on the Little House on the Prairie series tomorrow! Looking forwards to it very much! I just love the Little House books. It's been many years since I read them though. These Happy Golden Years was my favorite because of the bit of romance. Happy reading! Janet
Gonna start on the Little House on the Prairie series tomorrow! Looking forwards to it very much! I read The Little House in the Big Woods a few months ago. It was interesting to read about the lifestyle, but I imagine the later ones that are more 'Laura-y' are better.
