sarah Posted January 8, 2011 Share Posted January 8, 2011 hi can anyone help me out in trying to date a book; Alice's adventures in wonderland and through the looking glass; carroll, lewis (abridged edition). this book has no illustrations and was publised by dean and son ltd. it has no date or IBSN No, the only information listed in the book is 'made and printed in great britian by purnell and sons, ltd. Paulton (somerset) and london. Raven Posted January 9, 2011 Share Posted January 9, 2011 Personally, I'd try dating a bloke, rather than a book, if I were you! Seriously, however, have you tried Googling "dean and son publishers"? There seems to be quite a bit of information there, but at this time of night I'm not terribly inclined to wade through it all! (it should give you an idea of the dates between which the book was published though as they don't appear to be in business anymore).
