Hia everybody. I remembered this thread from 2010 so thought I would started a 2011 version.

What books are you looking forward to in 2011.

There's a new Thursday Next (by Jasper Fforde) out in February 'One of our Thursdays in Missing' which I'm hoping to finish the other Thursday Next books in time to read.

There's also a new Sookie Stackhouse out Dead Reckoning.

Plus there's a new No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party

Oh and a new Jodi Picoult, Sing you Home

I remember that I never used to have much to add to these types of threads because I mostly read books by long-dead authors. giggle.gif Obviously my tastes have expanded though because there are heaps of books I'm looking forward to next year.

Sylvia Beach: The Letters of Sylvia Beach (paperback)

Bill Bryson: At Home (paperback)

Roy Peter Clark: The Glamour of Grammar (paperback)

Jeff Deck: The Great Typo Hunt (paperback)

Jasper Fforde: One of Our Thursday's is Missing

Charlaine Harris: Dead in the Family (paperback)

Charlaine Harris: Dead Reckoning

Susan Hill: The Small Hand (paperback)

Haruki Murakami: IQ84 (English translation released September)

There are probably others that I'm forgetting. Thanks Weave - I hadn't realised Markus Zusak was releasing another book next year!

IQ84 is already available in the UK in two volumes, though looking at Amazon they don't appear to be in stock at the mo*

There is also a German version that is listed for publication in October 2010.

*Just realised they are the Japanese versions! There is no English version listed. I thought this was due to come out earlier this year? (I'm sure someone had it on their "Books to look forward to in 2010" list last year!).

Excellent lists, you guys! Even though my 3 fave authors had new releases in 2009 and don't have any new works coming up, I'm finding a lot to read thanks to you! :D

I had no idea Jasper Fforde was coming out with a new one, nor did I know about Chuck Palahniuk, Tess Gerritsen and countless others! Can't wait! Oh, and I keep seeing this Cassandra Clare name pop up... I think I need to check some of her stuff out!
