Your Mode of transport

I have a 2005 Kia Rio sedan, polar silver. I bought it new so I'd have a nice, trouble-free, economical car to putt around in. Hmmmmmmmm. It chews tyres and clutches like crazy (not my driving, none of my other cars have done that), gets half the economy it's supposed to, and the ignition immobiliser works so well I had to get it repaired so the thing would start occasionally.

I am now in the market for a large, powerful six cylinder car that understands what I mean when I push my foot on the accelerator, and to hell with fuel prices :)

Until recently I drove a Saab 900 injection turbo made in 1990. It was champagne and an automatic. It went like a rocket, looked really cool in a retro way and was a dream to drive. I had to scrap it this year, unfortunately.I loved Hal (Hal 900 like in 2001: A Space Odyssey, except that was a Hal 9000).

I currently drive a 1.6 Peugeot 306, silver, top spec but it's not me. I'll be getting a Land Rover soon, all being well, so I can cart my Scouts and their gear about without getting stuck in fields...

I use public transport to get about. We've got really good transport links up in Newcastle so I've never really needed to drive although I have started to learn (on and off! )

However, the bus company I use have created names for their services and the service I use is called the Fab 56 :D It's the most camp bus in the fleet and t cheers me up in the morning which probably says a lot about me :D

I have my license but I've not driven for a couple of years now. Last car I had was a Ford Ka 1.1 but for the life of me I cannot remember the year, I think it was either 02 or 03. My ex has it now anyway.

My boyfriend can't drive, so if I go out, I have to walk or get the bus - I love walking despite not being able to do much of it, but in the summer when I was feeling better I was walking 7-8 miles a day!

I'm now driving an 02 Ford Mondeo Ghia Estate (Eeyore :D ) I've only had him 3 weeks but love him to bits, very easy to drive. Before that I drove Elmo a '94 Vauxhall Corsa who now lives with Kat in Preston.

Other cars we hubby currently own are:

1960 Ford Consul

1962 Ford Consul

1960 Ford Zephyr

1990 Ford Escort Van

I am now the happy owner of a Mitsubishi 380. 3.8L 6 cyclinder, automatic, cruise control, and a boot button. Everything I wanted :)

Husband is now the happy owner of a Ford XR5 Focus. Not quite everything he wanted, but he's working on it!

A 2006 Nissan Pathfinder SUV silver gray with the luggage rack on top, CD player, seats 7. Its gorgeous and I look good driving it!:giggle2: We've been Nissan lovers for decades. Hubby drives a Ford F150 pickup that he purchased from work when our little Nissan pickup gave up the ghost. Up till then we had a Nissan Altima which our second daughter wrecked, then she totaled our Dodge Grand Caravan minivan. It was NOT a good year for her.

I digress, we have no public transport and a small low to the ground car just wont do for me. I need to be UP!
