aberystwythmatt
Hi everyone! I have been a silent lurker here for a while, so I thought it was time I came here and registered. I have just finished reading 2 novels by Daran little entitled Coronation St - Keep the home fires burning & Coronation Street at War. I found them both easy reads and although they are a work of fiction I found them a good insight into life in the back streets during the 2 world wars. Has anybody else read them and if so what were your thoughts?
Chrissy
Hello Matt. I had not occured to me that Corrie would have any fictional books available, and the reviws on Amazon look pretty good. I think I may have sorted out my S-I-L's Christmas pressie!
Chrissy
Coronation Street at War is that not when Coronation was on when it was the war time. From the look of the Amazon blurb on it, it takes some of the earlier characters (Elsie Tanner as a teenager for example), and is a story written about them.
