The winner will also get Mary Shelley tea (a lavender and vanilla black tea) from Rosie Lea Tea's Literary Tea Collection (https://www.rosieleatea.co.uk/collections/literary-tea-collection) and a chocolate skull, to really get that spooky atmosphere .   and...   A special treat for a special month. The winner will choose one of the following recent paperback releases from the independent bookshop Big Green Bookshop:       The Wych Elm by Tana French A House of Ghosts by W.C. Ryan Melmoth by Sarah Perry The Familiars by Stacey Halls  The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White   The winner will be chosen via the usual random selection process in one week. That is SO cute Kell. I love meeces.

Found this little poem on FB, it sort of sounded familiar :giggle2:

Cleaning Poem

I asked the Lord to tell me

Why my house is such a mess

He asked if I'd been 'computering',

And I had to answer 'Yes'.

He told me to get off my butt,

And tidy up the house.

And so I started cleaning up...

The smudges off my mouse.

... I wiped and shined the topside.

That really did the trick...

I was just admiring my good work.

I didn't mean to 'click.'

But click, I did, and oops - I found

A real absorbing site

That I got SO way into it -

I was into it all night.

So nothing's changed except my mouse.

It's as shiny as the sun.

I guess my house will stay a mess.....

While I sit here on my bum.

There are some really funny things on there :D

I loved this:

"I used to believe the "Lawn and Garden" section in Wal Mart was my uncle's. Lonnie Garden? Makes sense...right? :) To this day I always think about uncle Lonnie everytime the intercom comes on at Wal Mart :) lol."

and

"I thought Battersea was called that because it was built right next to the sea and got battered by the waves. Later when I learned about the Battersea Shield I thought it was like a giant wall they built at the seaside to shield the city from the waves!"

There were also some misheard lyrics on there which reminded me of one of my many odd lyrics finds. Aerosmith has a song where they sing 'dude looks like a lady' and it wasn't until I was maybe 26-27 years old when I learnt that they do not sing 'doodles like a lady'

And here's something really adorable for all dog lovers! :smile2:

I wonder which one was quick enough to get the one that was flipped to the ground?... We used to do a carry the sausage race at our annual dog club Xmas party, the dogs had to pick up a sausage and carry it about 20 feet and then give it to the handler, only then when the game/exercise was finished could they then eat the sausage... At that time we had Labradors, so it was a challenging game I can tell you!! :D
