More reading time required
It's P-P-P-P-Pancake day (very old reference to a Maid Marion & her Merry Men episode, that probably no one else will know ) , so tonight, it'll be pancakes for dinner. chesilbeach
Are you kidding? Maid Marian and her Merry Men is one of our favourites - of course we know it! We'll have something light for tea (a salad or something) then have pancakes with lemon juice and sugar after.

chesilbeach
We've actually got it on DVD somewhere - came across a box set a while back and we sat and rematched it all over again. It's gone into storage now unfortunately, but it's a classic in our house.
poppyshake
Yes, pancakes, with lemon and sugar But before that I had some chicken and rice ( ) and Al had a Pieminister chilli con carnage pie .. and of all weird things .. rice. Rice and pie .. it doesn't go together does it but then it is basically like chilli and rice .. with a bit of pastry. He needed a pint of water. It is seriously, seriously, HOT! chesilbeach
We had mushroom stir fry with noodles last night. OH increased the amount of chilli in it last night, and I'm gradually getting used to it, but my lips were burning for a couple of hours afterwards! In England, pancake day pancakes are what you'd probably know as the French style of crepes, so I take a pancake, drizzle plenty of fresh lemon juice on it, then sprinkle a light dusting of caster sugar all over and roll it up into a long cigar shape

How do you make your pancake day pancakes. I promise no more questions. I'm really not a dummy, just not informed on some of your food recipes.
