Shrubs reminded me of the word 'shrubbery' which I've first heard in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (a film), in which the main characters encounter 'the Knights Who Say Ni'. The main characters of The Holy Grail are Arthur and his companions and they are trying to find the Holy Grail. In their travels they encounter The Knights Who Say Ni, who won't let them pass until they've been gifted a shrubbery. Sorry for being a bit obscure . Madeleine
Thanks for the explanation, I haven't seen the film.
